Product Safety Statement

Global Promo is committed to produce and deliver safe and reliable promotional products compliant with applicable regulations and best practices. We require all of our factories to provide product safety testing reports showing compliance to applicable standards. Our product testing focuses on the following standards:

• RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and its subsequent amendments, which deals with the chemical content in the materials of the product.

• The FCC Declaration of Conformity is a certification employed on electronic products manufactured or sold in the United States which certifies that the electromagnetic interference from the device is under limits approved by the Federal Communications Commission.

• CE certification indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area.
In addition, some of our products have undergone UL testing and certification. Batteries used for our power banks are required to have UL certification which are nationally recognized standards for safety.

Global Promo products are considered general use and are not intended for children. If clients plan to distribute goods to children, third party testing to applicable standards can be made available for these designated products at an additional cost.

California Proposition 65 Compliance

Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted as a California ballot initiative in November 1986. The Proposition was intended by its authors to protect California citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals. The statute states that “no person in the course of doing business shall knowingly and intentionally expose any individual to a chemical known to the state (California) to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity without first giving a clear and reasonable warning…”

Global Promo is committed to providing safe and compliant products for our customers. Our products and decorating inks meet applicable Federal requirements for lead and phthalate content and to our knowledge do not contain chemicals at concentrations that would require a Proposition 65 warning label. As the Prop 65 list covers more than 800 chemicals, we cannot test every piece of every order. Distributors with concern about Prop 65 can request that a warning label be applied to each product, which Global Promo will include at no additional cost.
